Duckweed control

Duckweed, otherwise known as Lemna Minor, is that tiny little leaf that floats all over the surface of the water.  Although it only has small roots that dangle down into the water, it’s the build up organic mud/sludge/silt on the bottom of your pond or lake that is putting the nutrition into the water.  Aquaplancton gets rid of the sludge which starves the duckweed of its nutrition, causing it to die our naturally.

Aquaplancton won’t do any good sitting on top of the duckweed, it does need to find its way down to the mud on the bottom.  Sometimes the weight of the Aquaplancton powder will take the duckweed down with it, failing that you can wait until the wind has blown the duckweed to one side.
